S. G. Landrum is a writer from Georgia. Her essay “Echo of Truth: Architecture & Remembrance” won a Silver Key at the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards (‘23) and first place in the Augusta University Young Writers Essay Competition (‘23). She has received many awards for poetry, including three Gold Keys at the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards (‘24) for her works “Denim,” “I Wish I was a Smoker” and “The World Ends Every Few Days,” which was nominated for an American Voices Award (‘24). Her piece, “Poem for a Minnesota Girl” also received a Silver Key (‘24). She is an avid lover of language, architecture, and Americana music. One of her goals is to travel to all fifty states. S.G. 's poetry is inspired by growing up in the South.
